I already have a Brother 1034D, which I absolutely love, as well as a compact/cheap Kenmore model, but I wanted a machine that could do more (cover stitch, etc.). I've been using this machine almost daily for a month, and my observations are:

This review is from: Singer 14T968DC.CL Professional 5 Overlock Serger Sewing Machine (Kitchen) For the money this is the worst "dog" I have ever purchased. It is difficult to keep threaded, will not sew double thickness, or fleece at all. I have never finished a complete garment on this machine. I have used sergers for over 20 years. Considering how excited I was to get this serger, in the end I could not wait to get rid of it. I spent more time working on the machine than my project. I do not recommend this product to anyone! I have returneed it in hopes of getting a different model all together. 6 of 6 people found the following review helpful: By This review is from: Singer 14T968DC.CL Professional 5 Overlock Serger Sewing Machine (Kitchen) I love, love, love this serger. It sews like a dream. My only complaint, I wish there was a live instructional video showing how to thread and use each foot. The manual is helpful as well as the CD but a live tutorial would have been perfect. However the machine itself is fantastic! |
