The Integrated Dual Feed System feeds the material on the top and bottom for even feeding of all fabric layers. The Large Back-Lit LCD Screen Displays the stitch you are on, the width, length and more! The Start/Stop Button allows you to start the machine without the use of a foot control and the electronic speed control slider controls the speed of the machine. The Built-In Memory allows the user to combine stitch patterns to sew things such as names on quilt labels. The sewing bed is made of metal for increased durability. The dual spool holders on the back of the machine allow for the machine to accommodate large spools. The flip stitch chart shows you all of the stitches at a glance. I have been looking for a longer base machine for my quilting and never thought I could afford a machine that can do all that this machine can do. I can not believe this machine has the IDT the same as my friends Pfaff for 1/3 the price she paid for hers.
I looked at the Babylock like this machine and they wanted almost as much as a Pfaff so I thought I would never be able to get a machine like this. With this machine I was able to get this machine and one to take to classes for literally thousands less than I thought I would have to pay. Best of all is sews so smooth and my quilts are so much crisper.

Purchased this machine for my wife as a Christmas present. Judging by her comments, she is very pleased with this new machine and feels that she got more features for much less than competing brands. From a guy standpoint, this machine is a tank as far as build quality is concerned. So now my wife is eagerly planning clothing to make for our grand children. Happy wife means happy husband.

I Love the Singer L-500!!!!!Got it out the Box set it right up with no problems.It reminds me of the Pfaff 7570 that I had.The stitches are very nice.This is a well made machine,love the size of it and the light is just awesome.This is a heavy machine..I bought a refurbished machine and have no regrets so far..I have a Viking designer 1 and I like the L-500 better I do not like top loading bobbins.Please read the manual if your are not familiar with a computer machine..and call Singer,They are very helpful!!!!Its very easy to operate.It weights about the same as my Viking and Juki.sewing area is very wide and the harp is large so nice to have alot of room!Thank you amazon for such a good deal on this machine!!!!!!I'm just so happy with it!
