Darning Foot
This convenient foot with a guide offers excellent visibility and control. Keep fabric flat and under control while darning. This foot is great to use while performing stippling, meandering and thread-painting techniques simply and precisely.
Used to create free hand embroidery and quilting (stippling) as well as monograms.

This foot did not work properly on my Singer CG590 machine (which is listed as a model that it should fit). The upright metal bar totally prevented the needle from lowering to form a stitch. I tried attaching it at various different angles with no success.
I'm an experienced sewer, but fairly new to quilting, so I thought perhaps it was some error on my part. So, I took it to my quilt group (of very experienced quilters), and they were also unsuccessful at getting it to work.
I returned it. The bright part of this experience is that amazon.com is great at handling returns! They proactively intervened on my behalf when the reseller (Metropolitan Warehouse) wanted me to pay for shipping since the foot was not considered "defective".

This darning foot came promptly and works exactly how I need it to. I am a big quilter so it is really useful.

My Singer Embroidery & Darning Foot arrived today. I had anxiously been waiting all week. I could not have been more disappointed and frustrated with this seller when the part arrived. It arrived in a plain baggie. No, unfortunately I'm not kidding. It was supposed to be 'new'. I hardly think Singer would send something out in a baggie if it were new. Not only that, but the part doesn't even look the same as the one pictured. I made sure the part I ordered specifically stated it was compatible with my Singer model. What arrived has some big hard plastic part attached to it that makes in not compatible with my Singer. At first I thought it was just some protective cap, but no, it is not. I am so mad right now. I was looking forward to spending my holiday weekend quilting. Now my plans are ruined. The company, Metropolitans Warehouse on Amazon Marketplace, will probably expect me to pay the shipping charges to return it and a restocking fee.
