This machine performs as advertized as far as power goes. It will breeze through thicker layers of fabric. The thing I do not like about it, is that critical parts are not metal, but plastic. The lever that raises the presser foot broke the first time I tested it out. When the needle clamp broke recently, I discovered that it is not metal either. C'mon...it is a commercial machine. What good is a powerful motor if the parts are plastic inside?

I just started using this machine this year to sew cloth diapers. It has been back to the sewing repair guy 5 times out of the 5 times i've used it to reset the timing and only one of those times was it because of a broken needle (why the needle broke, who knows) and now I have to take it back this morning because out of no where, after sewing two diapers, the needle literally dropped out of it's clamp and jamming in to the bobbin area. If your thread starts fraying, STOP and don't use that thread, your timing will go off.
This machine is over sensitive! Though when it works it works just fine and sews fast but I rather have it be slow then have to take it in every day to get the timing reset. $$$$ not worth it.
