Singer 7469 Electronic Sewing Machine

I purchased this product with such hope as a beginning quilter. I read every page of the manual(unusual for me) and then began sewing. This machine dings at you for everything from loose bobbin thread to being completely locked up. If you make the mistake of turning the wheel away from you...bye bye machine. I had to learn this on line after it was too late because the manuel fails to tell you that you can only turn the wheel forward. Wonder why they call it a wheel?? The manuel mentions that you can free arm quilt but gives no instructions as to how. My quilt was stuck in the machine with the needle down and no way to get it out except to turn the wheel (get the picture). Now I am stuck without my $300 and the nearest repair is 150 miles away. What started as an adventure is now a nightmare. Singer should be ashamed. I have friends who are sending there machines back. At least they aren't out the cost of the machine!
