Product Review

You will love to sew with the SINGER 7467 Confidence. This machine has so many electronic features to simplify your creative process. The Drop & Sew bobbin system quickly places the bobbin thread exactly where you need it. A built-in needle threader makes quick work of threading the eye of the needle. Seventy stitch programs include three types of one-step buttonholes, a hand-look quilt stitch, and lots of decorative and construction stitches. Each stitch has its optimal settings pre-programmed, but you can adjust the settings as you need whenever you want. You also have an electronic twin needle control, six of the most frequent stitches available with a one-touch selector button, drop feed, 13 needle positions, and a free arm with accessory storage that includes five snap-on presser feet are all also featured on this machine.

I just got this machine a week ago as an early Christmas gift from my hubby. I didn't purchase it from Amazon, because we found a Thanksgiving-week deal at Jo-Ann fabrics, so I picked it up there for about $200.

I am very happy with this machine. It has 66 stitch functions (search google for an image "list" of these, like I did), 3 buttonhole options, and a twin-needle option. I have used about 10 of the decorative stitches already, and I'm incredibly impressed with how well the machine handles them.

This machine is quiet enough that I can have a conversation with my husband while he's 15 feet away, all without either of us raising our voices. It has a smooth feed and doesn't shake (like my last machine did, even in tip-top shape!). It is sleek-looking and it doesn't weigh much, so I can carry it without feeling as though my arm is going to break off.

The reverse stitch is easy to use (the button is right by the needle, so you can hold it as you...Read more

My story:
It was coming down the last couple weeks of school (Fashion Design Major) and I had 4 garments to finish and out of the blue my sewing machine broke! What was a girl with a deadline to do? Come on Amazon.com of course! Whenever I need a review I always come on here so I hunted down this here Singer Confidence. I have previously seen this on the Martha Stewart show and thought yeah.. probably too good to be true but nope! All the reviews on here gave me the green light to purchase it in a local fabric store and I couldn't have been happier about it!
This machine is incredible. I've sewed on industrial sewing machines and thought nothing could come close to the feel and smoothness that industrials have but this has proved my lil sewing heart wrong!
Once I took it out of the box I whipped out a slab of muslin to test out all the different stitches! They were all beautiful, easy easy easy to do and wow I really love the back-tack button! The buttonhole/buttons...Read more

It works great NOW. I purchased this machine last month and had similar issues with the straight stitching. I had changed the foot from the original one that was on it. I had never seen a closed foot like that before so I put on the one I was familiar with that came with the accessories. I tried everything to get the stitches right, including changing the machine's needle, increasing the tension, decreasing the tension, and rethreading the machine. When I was just about to give up and throw it out the window, I put the original foot back on. That did the trick! It works fine now, and I have used stitches I've never used before, like the scallop stitch to decoratively hem a sundress and the overcast seam stitch which looks professional! I have been sewing on Singer machines for 42 years and was very hesitant to purchase one of these "new fangled" computerized models. Lots of plastic, but lots of fun! I'm enjoying playing with all the stitches! I will never give up my 30 year old...Read more
