I have been sewing for 44 years. I thought I would finally buy myself a "nice, fancy" sewing machine. This machine is so sensitive that if one little, bitty piece of thread gets caught in the feed dogs, the whole timimg goes out and it will not sew no matter how many times you re-thread or clean the bobbin case. You have to take it to get the timing reset. I sewed on this thing 6 times and had to get the timing reset 3 times. Each time I call the Singer support line and got the same story about only using Singer needles and bobbins - which I was doing. I have never been so disgusted with a machine in my life.

I bought this machine new in May 2010...I LOVE IT. I've used 4 times a week for over a year and have never had ANY problems with it. I love how easy it is to use, the pedal isn't very sensitive so its easy to go slow if you want which is something that was very important to me being as I sew a lot of outfits for my children and like to take my time on the curves on the sleeves and such. I've never had any issues with timing as some of the other reviews I've read have mentioned and haven't had to take it in to get it serviced for any issues. This machine does everything you could need a basic sewing machine for. LOVE IT.

I have had this machine for about four years. I have made 100's of scrub tops and clothing repairs with it. I have never had a problem. I have been sewing for 40 years and have owned several machines. This one has been the best. All the stitches work perfectly following the setting instructions with the manual. I love the drop in bobbin, very hassel free. I know there are some complaints out there about this machine but I have never experienced any of them with mine. I have kept mine on auto tension and had no issues.
