It's easy to thread and winding the bobbin is a breeze. My favorite feature is all of the extra feet that are included. 10 different feet! The free motion embroidery foot is a dream come true! It is extremely easy to change the feet. Also, you can lower the feed dogs with a switch, instead of needing a separate darning plate. Very convenient! The feeding of the fabric in general is very nice and controlled and the foot pedal has grips on it to keep your foot from sliding off. I saw a demonstration of this machine at a trade show and it can sew through a wooden ruler without any adjustments for tension or changing the needle. It will sew anything beautifully! And all of the stitches are color coded for length so you can't mess up. Although I'm not new to sewing, I watched the included VHS tape and read through the instruction manuals.
