Summary: Ups and downs 2008-11-15
Comment: I bought this and I do like it. The stitiches are easy to do and the machine does most of the work for you. The bobbin winder has worked fine for me, despite some other reviews. THese are the downs: to get to the bobbin base, you have to unscrew two screws. That wouldn't matter so much except the bobbin case gets jammed and pops out. Because the bobbin case is plastic the needle goes right through it when it jams and gets stuck. Then I have to take the machine half apart and put it back together before it inevitably does it again. A better constructed, metal bobbin case would be nice. I am in contact with Euro-Pro about getting a new one. Other than the bobin case problems, I really like it!

Comment: I bought one, yes the bobbin wouldn't catch...just like all the other reviews. So, I returned it. Same thing. Blew the motor in a week and the bobbin wouldn't catch. Decorative stitches only work on 2 speed. I have worked in the design field and this sucks. I plan on returning this one to get a third and sell it before I break it again. Don't bother with customer service. All they do is tell you it cost $40 to fix under warranty and $15.95 to ship it.

Summary: Affordable and fun 2008-04-02
Comment: I'd been wanting a sewing machine for a long time that did a little more than just five stitches. This was the best value for the buck that I saw. It has a lot of choices and it's very dependable. I would love it if I didn't have to change colors of thread each time I needed a new one. But it does really good. It has been really dependable, until it started messing up on the bobbin part. I was really getting frustrated until I saw on a web site called FixYa where some one said that if you've checked everything (which I had it was cleaned, in properly) that there is a little screw that controls the tension. I looked and sure enough when I adjusted that it fixed the problem. This kind of thing is a sewing machine in general issue.
I'd buy this sewing machine if I had it to do over. The only thing I need to do is start using it more.

Summary: SEWING MACHINE 2008-02-25
Comment: THIS WAS MY CHRISTMAS PRESENT. I LOVE IT. IT HAS SO MANY FEATURES. THE SHIPPING WAS FAST. IT HAS DIFFERENT STYLE LETTERS BUT I WISH THEY CAME IN DIFFERENT SIZES (LIKE 2INCHES IN SIZE) BUT I'M HAPPY. IT'S A PERFECT MACHINE. IT TAKES CLEAR PLASTIC BOBBINS WHICH YOU CAN PRACTICALLY BUY ANYWHERE. THERE ARE A LOT OF DETAILS THAT I CAN'T POINT OUT BUT OVERALL IT'S REALLY EASY TO USE WITH EASY TO USE FEATURES. I'M VERY SATISFIED.

Summary: No major issues 2007-07-17
Comment: I bought this machine a couple of years ago and I've been very pleased at everything. I started out not even knowing how to thread the thing and now I'm easily sewing outfits for my kids, curtains, pillows, toys, etc. I love how there are arrows showing EXACTLY which way to run the thread to thread the machine, the bobbin is the first that I've ever been able to thread properly (there is a little diagram showing exactly what is to be done). I've used a couple of the decorative stitches and with trial and error, I've found how the settings need to be in order to make the stitches the way that I want. The only problem I have with this machine is that every now and then, the thread jams into a giant clump. I've found that usually if I just re-thread the machine, it goes on working just fine. The manual is very descriptive and easy to follow. However, don't buy this machine (or ANY sewing machine) if you're not willing to take the time to learn how everything works to get the results you want. It's not magic, it actually takes time and effort.
