Summary: more problems than it's worth!! 2008-02-21
Comment: This sewing machine almost made me think I was losing my mind! As soon as I took it out of the box, I ran an old piece of material through it to check for any oil residue and poof - the presser foot fell off. I reattached it, threaded the needle, and it wouldn't feed the material on any tension setting! I finally figured out the correct tension setting, readied my project, gently pressed on the speed controller, and th foot pedal stuck, burning out the motor in the first day! I returned it and it was replaced, only to have THAT foot pedal stick and burn up yet another motor within the first week! I returned it, got my money back, bought a Brother machine from Wal-Mart and have never been happier - it has even made it through heavy drapery material with no problem - My advice - don't waste your time, money, and mental state with this machine - go get a Brother!

Summary: Don't buy Rex machines! 2006-12-08
Comment: I bought a brand new, out of the box Rex machine very similar (if not the same model) as this one, and it didn't work even right out of the box!
And apparently I am not alone, many people who buy these machines say they don't work even when brand new.
They shake a lot, overheat easy, and are generally not a very good quality machine.
Don't waste your money!
