After ordering this product (in black) it took a month and a half to get it to me. I was initially impressed with the fact that the delivery guy came only a few days after I ordered it, and then was immediately disappointed upon discovering they had sent it in white instead of black. I called the delivery company and they said to hold onto it, then when they delivered another one in the right color, they would swap it out for the correct color.

So then I called Amazon and asked them to send the black one instead. They tell me that they cannot do an exchange because it was sold through a 3rd party distributor. They can give me a refund, but if I want them to send it in the right color, I have to place another order. This was frustrating, but I did as they suggested, placing a second order for a black sewing box.

I wasn't totally sure about buying this for several reasons. I'd never heard of the manufacturer, and I wasn't sure about spending over $1000 to get a end up getting some "desk" for my Singer sewing machine. I love to sew, and took a gamble on this. Boy am I glad I did. It's beautiful. I picked up the black one, and I absolutely love how it looks. I've had my own sewing room for years, and it's amazing how much I've been able to fit in this. I also love the fact that it folds up, and I can hide everything afterwards. It really makes my sewing room look much more tidy after I've been working on a particular project. All I can say is, if you are big into sewing like I am, and need something like this, you won't be disappointed. Yes, the price is a bit high, but it's well worth the investment. I was so excited when I first ordered this item in June 2011. The first one arrived in the wrong color and needed to be returned. In July, I tried again. This one was also the wrong color, but the delivery company caught the mistake before I got stuck with a giant box for a week. I just received the item in the correct color and thought I'd finally get to use it. Last night we opened it up and found LOTS of damage. The back wasn't connected because the screws were stripped and hanging out, one hinge was bent/broken, the latch that is supposed to hold the table up was broken and had damaged inside of that door, the doors didn't close well, and one side had a split panel that went all the way through the cabinet. This damage was not from delivery. It was due to poor manufacturing. I called to get it returned today. I will never order another Scrapbox product. It was junk.
