The 6300 P is a sewists dream! This machine, of metal construction will make any sewer or quilter smile. High speed, extremely precise and dependable, the 6300 is a home sewing machine built for professional use. This machine was built and created for the quilter and home decorator. It has 66 built in stitches, a little bit for every type of sewer, including blanket stitches, heirloom stitches, cross stitches, utility stitches, satin stitches and of course, straight stitch, zigzag and mending stitches. The trimmer is amazing...trims the threads at the end of the seam and pulls the thread to the back side of the fabric...this is a huge time saver! The one-step buttonhole is offered with three buttonhole styles. Simply place the button in the foot and the buttonhole is sized perfectly for the size of the button. This is a computerized machine and the user has full control of stitch width, length and also stitch elongation. This is a wonderful machine, built to last, designed to be used every day. I ordered this sewing machine after having to return the Singer Sewing Machine that I ordered a few days before. I wrote a long review on why the Singer machine was returned, so I won't bother with that here.
I already have one Janome Machine, a Magnolia. It's a great machine and I haven't had any problems with it but I sew everyday and I wanted a machine with more features. Specifically a faster machine, an automatic thread cutter and a knee lift. This machine has delivered all those items and more. I love this machine. I have had no problems with it and have sewen three quilts and several other projects since I received it. I love that it came with and extension table (they cost around $100 to buy separately). It also comes with alot of different feet and a nice case to organize everything in.

I absolutely love my new Janome MC-6300p. It has everything. It runs very smoothly, threads its own thread, and cuts it at the end. It is so easy to make bobbins. This product came with every foot I could imagine and the quilting board, all at a great price. It was my Christmas gift to myself and I couldn't be happier.

Lots and lots of things I want to say about this machine .. and they are all good, well great really! I had a Simplicity machine that was over 20 years old, worked fine but had it's faults. My sweet husband gave me "free rein" for my birthday/Christmas to get a new machine and this is what I settled on (at my local quilt shop). I was going after the 11000 but the price was an issue I hadn't expected :( So, I have this awesome machine and, like the other reviews, have had zero problems with it. I'm not a proficient enough quilter to run the thing as fast as it will go, don't really know who would need to go as fast as this thing appears that it will go, as I can barely get past the first arrow, but it sails nicely. The bobbin winder works so well, so fast, it scares me :) But it works, unlike the one on my Janome 350e!
