I love janome; I have 3 (2 sewing and 1 serger). This is a great machine, well built and very easy to use, especially for a beginner. It does not jam and runs great. I bought it to give to my daughter for Christmas when she turned 8, but decided to wait until next year. I bought mine used and I have pulled it out several times when I have needed an extra machine.

This machine delivers quality sewing in a small package. I use it primarily for quilt piecing. It's a wonderful weight for carrying to classes.This is not a machine you can use for everything, but is a good second machine.
Very nice for lightweight sewing.
Amazon was easy to order from & satisfied all my requirements.
