This review is from: Janome 18750 Hello Kitty Computerized Sewing Machine (Misc.) I bought this machine and was excited to get it. I really like Hello Kitty and near as I can tell this is the exact same machine as the Janome 1050. So picking the one with Hello Kitty on it was a no-brainer for me. The machine is quite light weight. The machine is inexpensive at only $300 and some of the parts such as the bobbin winder are made of cheap plastic. I am the person who took the photos of the machine and as you can see this makes a fabulous straight stitch. Stitches look really great and I immediately sewed a satin stitch on a fairly thick piece of material, not terribly dense just thick. This worked great. The satin stitch was beautiful. So I was tickled. The presser foot even lifts extra high to get those thick things in there.When sewing, this machine feels relatively solid. It didn't move around (even though it's light weight). No it's not 35 lb vintage singer but it held it's ground and wasn't "creeping" around the table or anything like...Read more |
