I bought this foot because my walking foot was on the fritz. I make and sell cloth diapers, and a walking foot is (or so I thought) integral to sewing with the waterproof PUL fabric I use for the outer part of the diaper. This teflon foot is 100% better than the walking foot, even when it was working properly. The fabric slides through evenly, yet you have very good control. I have a Brother CS-6000i, and this foot snaps right on to the low-shank. No matter what position the needle is in, it doesn't hit the foot at all. It will save me time, too, because I can use it for the construction of the whole diaper instead of switching between my regular foot and walking foot.
